Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace: This is one of the most important historical monuments in Bangalore. It is situated near K R Market and was set up in 1791 by Tipu Sultan the ruler of Mysore. Tipu Sultan built quite a few palaces but this one really stands out because of its wooden architecture. The palace is a masterpiece of art that attracts tourists from all parts of the world.

Bangalore Palace: It is a beautiful replica of the Windsor Castle in England built in (1862). Known for its exquisitely carved out towers and parapets this palace today serves as a venue for functions and marriages.

Mayo Hall: It is one of the excellent pieces of British architecture set up in memory of 'Lord Mayo'. It is a town hall that simply bewilders you with its excellent Greco Roman form of architecture.

Bangalore Parks

Lal Bagh: It is a botanical garden in Bangalore that houses more than 1000 species of flowers and plants. The park also has a Glass House that is built on the lines of the London's Crystal Palace. It is used to hold horticultural shows for its visitors. The park is also well-known for the flower show that takes place annually

Cubbon Park: The Cubborn Park has almost become a landmark in the city. Covering an area of about 100 acres the Park houses diverse species of plants and trees. There are also a number of beautiful buildings and statues of famous personalities situated within the park. The park is also popular with kids for the toy train.

Among the many government buildings in the city Attara Kacheri (Karnataka High Court) holds prime importance. The Attara Kacheri was constructed way back in 1864 to accommodate the offices of the eighteen revenue departments of the state. It is a typical 19th century edifice built exclusively in pure red stone. The Vidhana Soudha is another important Government building that the city of Bangalore houses.

Bull Temple: It is among the biggest Nandi statues in the entire world. It is an attractive piece of architecture carved in Dravidian style. Considered among the most frequented holy shrines in Bangalore the Bull Temple is believed to have been carved out of a single piece of stone.

St Patrick's Church: It is among the oldest churches in the city of Bangalore situated in Brigade Road. The Church is said to be a must visit for its sanctifying nature and majestic colonial architecture.

Huge Shiva in old Airport Road: It is the biggest Lord Shiva Statue in the entre world. Situated amidst the captivating backdrop of Mount Kailash this temple attracts devotees from different parts of the world.

ISKCON Temple (International Society for Krishna Consciousness): This temple is a beautiful blend of harmony, spiritualism and modern technology. Spread over acres and acres of lush greenery this temple is set amidst the captivating backdrop of a hill.

Infant Jesus Church and St. Mary's Basilica: Are also two important churches located in Bangalore which draws a lot of tourists to the place.
